At Cycle Refinery, we’re passionate about the restoration and preservation of vintage motorcycles, but we love them all. Austin, TX provides the ideal environment for year-round riding and unique motorcycles.
We are looking for an experienced “Master” level technician that wants to be a part of our growing service department and potentially serve as a lead technician responsible for overseeing others. A strong understanding of fundamental engine, suspension, electrical and fuel systems and the ability to troubleshoot and repair them is a must. We service and repair most makes of Japanese, British, Italian, and American motorcycles. We also perform customization work so fabricating, welding and painting skills are a bonus.
Certificate of completion from an accredited motorcycle maintenance school such as MMI, UTI, WyoTech or local Vo-Tech program.
Applicants must have a minimum of 5+ years as a motorcycle mechanic/technician in a repair shop setting.
Ability to work in a fast past environment while maintaining quality work.
Have own hand tools and storage chest as well as basic specialty tools related to motorcycle maintenance.
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Reliability and the desire to show up on time.
Ability to work on all categories of motorcycles including vintage, modern, metric, American, and European.
Valid driver’s license with motorcycle endorsement and clean driving record.
Own specialty tools
Knowledge and understanding of OEM and aftermarket parts suppliers such as TMS, Parts Unlimited, WPS, Tucker, etc…
Working knowledge of fabrication, welding, painting, and machining is a plus.
Service certifications from major OEM training programs.
Flat rate with earning potential of $25-35/hr
Full time: Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm
