Summary Description

Retail Sales of Parts and Accessories. Compiles and maintains parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material between the parts and service/sales area. Provides prompt, dependable high quality service to (internal & external) customers.  Maintains a high degree of customer satisfaction.   Maintains a clean, efficient facility.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

P&A Consulting for New & Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales

– P&A Consulting with internal and external customers for New & Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Interface with Service Technicians and ensure their P&A needs are being met.
– Take service technicians’ orders for parts and fill them as fast as possible.
– Assist service technicians in determining parts & accessories requirements for individual jobs.
– Enhance the value of the new and pre-owned vehicle sales process through personalized P&A consulting.
– Follow the steps of the sales process effectively to ensure satisfied customers and increased sales.
– Present the features and benefits of all parts and accessories that may meet customer needs.

– Show each customer advantages of H-D products over competing brands.
– Follow procedures to ensure timely and proper completion of all paperwork.

– Coordinate ordering, delivery and installation of desired parts and accessories between the Parts and Sales – Department to meet the customer’s expectations.
– Support and encourage use of the Service Department for installation of parts and accessories sold through the dealership.

Parts, Accessories and Sales

– Support cross-selling Motorclothes, collectibles and HOG memberships, with all new and pre-owned vehicles.
– Work effectively with other departments to ensure smooth customer flow through the dealership
– Support and encourage use of the Service Department for installation of parts and accessories sold through the dealership.

Inventory Accuracy

– Become familiar and efficient with all phases of the computer system required for entry and tracking of inventory.
– Participate in periodic physical inventory of all merchandise (counts, reports etc.)

Qualifications:

– Experience within a retail sales department.
– Must have an approachable, likable personality.
– Excellent communication skills and demonstrated “closing skills”.
– Knowledge of Harley-Davidson Motorcycle parts and accessories and experience with fitment and style issues.
– Knowledge and experience with sales of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and other products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.
– Demonstrated attention to detail and outstanding follow-through skills.
– Valid Arizona driver’s license.
– Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen.

Physical Demands:

– The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
– Occasionally requires the ability to balance and push an 900+ lb. motorcycle.
– Ability to stand and walk the sales floor most of the day.

Working Conditions:

– Is potentially exposed to gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department.
– Occasionally, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.

History
Following an extensive racing career, which included winning the Daytona 100 mile race in 1963, Buddy Stubbs started Arizona Harley-Davidson. On July 16, 1966, Buddy Stubbs Arizona Harley-Davidson became the Valley's only Harley-Davidson franchise.

In the past 48 years, the population in the Phoenix metro area has exploded to over 4 million people. Although five other dealerships dot the landscape, Buddy Stubbs remains the only Harley-Davidson dealer within the City of Phoenix. Our store, originally located on McDowell Road, moved to 13401 N Cave Creek Road in 1985 to better serve our customers. In March of 2005 we relocated into our current 47,000+ sq ft dealership at 13850 N Cave Creek Road (1.5 miles north of Cactus on the West side of Cave Creek Road).
