Overview

General Sales Manager:

As the General Sales Manager (GSM), you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our sales department. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of tasks including deal management, negotiation with financial institutions, inventory control, team building, process maintenance, personnel development, and a small amount of travel for dealer shows and group meetings.  We are seeking a teachable individual who embodies servant leadership principles, leads by example, and fosters a culture of continuous learning and excellence within our high-energy team. While experience in the automotive industry is valued, an understanding and appreciation of the unique dynamics of the powersports sector is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the entire sales department by example, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Manage deal negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for both customers and the dealership.
Collaborate with financial institutions to secure financing options for customers.
Oversee inventory management processes, including ordering and tracking.
Recruit, train, and develop a talented sales team.
Implement and maintain effective sales processes to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Stay abreast of developments in the powersports industry, continuously seeking opportunities for learning and improvement.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in sales management, preferably within the powersports industry or automotive.
Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable deals for both customers and the dealership.
Excellent inventory management abilities, including forecasting and ordering.
Willingness to travel for dealer shows and group meetings.
Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
Commitment to maintaining and improving sales processes.
Passion for the powersports industry and a desire to continually learn and grow.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
