About this Position: 

Product Planners are responsible for providing the collection, analysis and insights on market trends and conditions that may have an impact on company products and services across multiple 2W/4W PSP product lines. They will conduct specific product research that supports model strategy creation, lifecycle planning and model specific planning towards development start.

 Responsibilities include:

  •  Supports creation of and conducts complex research assignments to support product planning and future strategic direction. Plans and participates in 2W/4W PSP research events including customer/dealer visits. (e.g., coordination of contacts with dealers, customers).
  • Compiles and analyzes primary and secondary data including all types of formal research methods. Produces and analyzes statistical data from these sources to report on customer preferences, satisfaction, purchase process, future vehicle requirements, trade-off’s, etc.
  • Communicate product description, specifications, feature, and pricing details and explain product role, customer targets and business objectives to Development and Sales Departments at negotiated timing within development cycle.
  • Participates in product concept & design development with members from related departments and recommends necessary modifications or new market opportunities.

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

  • 2-6 years of experience with degree or 6-10 years related work experience
  • 4-10 years as successful OEM or aftermarket field representative or equivalent experience

 Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work-related experience

 Desired skills:

  • Understanding of Honda and competitor’s product line, technology and PSP industry conditions and PSP consumers
  • Proficiency with programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, multiple web-based databases
  • Interacts and communicates effectively with supervisor and other department members
  • Good planning, implementation, and project management skills
  • Effective presentation skills
