10 Cycles is an independently owned and operated powersports and E-bike dealership in Matthews, North Carolina. Our name comes from the shop’s owner, Justin Brayton, who races the number 10 motorcycle in professional motocross and supercross throughout the world. At 10 Cycles, we carry a variety of brands that include KTM, Husqvarna, GASGAS, Specialized Bicycles, STACYC, and Oneweel, among others. Summary : The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the service and repair of motorcycles brought to the dealership.

The Service Manager is responsible for operations, profitability, employee supervision, and customer satisfaction in the service department.

Supervisory Responsibilities : This job has direct supervisory responsibilities.


Answers technical questions about service issues, warranties, and repairs.
Oversees service orders.
Assists in diagnosing problems.
Orders parts and tools as necessary.
Oversees administration of warranty claims.
Oversees training and supervising of service department employees.
Develop, run, and refine the service system (workflow)
Works with upper management and Human Resources to make service department hiring and disciplinary decisions.
Sets schedules and assigns tasks to service department employees.
Maintains good working relationship with factory(s).
Attends required manager meetings.
Maintains effective employee relations.
Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
Participates in required training
Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.

Complies with Company policies and procedures
Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.

Desired Education / Experience:

·       GED


·       High School Diploma


·       5+ years


·       Prior motorcycle service / technical experience or commensurate training. Management or supervisory experience preferred.


·       Excellent interpersonal skills. Thorough knowledge of motorcycle parts and systems. Ability to diagnose and remedy problems.


Certificates and Licenses:

·       Valid Driver’s License


·       Valid Motorcycle Endorsement


Computer Skills:

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products. Ability and knowledge of the Dealership Management System and web based applications utilized for operations.


Communication Skills:

Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.


Attendance Expectations:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.


Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear;

stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.


Environment Demands:

Duties are performed primarily in the service department. Manager will work in an office in the service department, but will also be required to work throughout the dealership.

May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service and repair conditions. Work includes working in various physical positions, and the safe operation of power tools and test equipment.


Verbal and Writing Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.


Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
